Saturday Night Fever

What's going on today? This!

There's really only a couple things to say on this set. The first, I think, should be that I like birds. The second is that I seem to be in the mood for white. But this item is texture change too, it goes from white wood and blue plaid to dark wood and a brick red plaid in moments. The table and the chair do that is. :)

The Witch Hunt 2010 - Artist's Voice

My idea was to invoke the Wizard of Oz by creating a house that's been dropped on a witch. The house itself doesn't actually look anything like Dorthy's house in the movie but I feel like it channels the greener side of the Dust Bowl era and Kansas. :)

The witches legs, stuck neatly under a corner of the house, have taken a turn into the 21st century by way of her stockings.. The modern minded wicked witch seems to prefer red and white stripes as opposed to the more traditional black and white.

We all know witches like cleanliness, it's next to wickedness of course, as the old saying goes. So of course we have the requisite broom on the porch, give it a click and you'll hear the hooting owls in the night, which is of course exactly how witches like their brooms to sound. And spiders, especially very large ones, laugh in an ironic way. Careful though, if you touch the witches remains you may hear her beyond her grassy grave.. !

So you'll plainly see that with a splash of spook and a touch of charm that this house could have a crash landing.. into your heart!

This is a very cool concept, it's a little hard to manage for the creator but it has all the earmarks of a really good tool. I hope they get a little more tutorial infor or FAQ going. :)

Bird Cage To My Soul; Sanctuary

I hadn't mentioned it before now because of my brother's wedding on the 27th of June (and boy was I a busy girl!) but I created a bird cage scene to lighten your heart!

You'll have the complete package for 86 (or maybe it's 82) prims with 6 poses in the chairs, scripted curtains all the way around that opene and close and 7 poses in the pillow stack to offer you some snoozing time when you need it - I know I need a nap.

The best feature with this is that every texture you see is a custom texture created by myself. The only exclusions to that are the vintage picture and the baked suitcase texture [Which I added my own texture to as an overlay]. All the others are my new and most favorite textures!

You can find the "Flown Bird" Sanctuary at my satellite store located on Second Style Island. Be sure to check out all the other fantastic neighbors of mine on this sim. We have some real talent in Second Life these days!

I am a clinomaniac

That means I have a serious thing for laying about in bed.

(take note: bring bonbons)

Good thing I can do this while I am soaking up the luxury!

Right now, for whatever reason, plaid and tartan textiles have been on my mind. I am sewing some pretty nifty bags and purses in my kitchen these days and I thought I would make some textures along that vein that could work in some of my builds! Watch out fluffy chairs.. the tartans are coming!

More later! (I swear I am going to log in and do those Cozy Cottage interior shots!)

Jessanne is going to miss herself when she's gone.

I couldn't stand it anymore, I had to come back.

And if you haven't guessed already I am creating again! I've thrown up the ad for the Cozy Cottage; a Relay For Life limited edition that I am providing to my friend Kat Alderson for the auction she's holding on June 4th. I was gone for so long, (It was about two months I think), that I still don't have all the details of that but I am going to get them later today and let you all know about it!

I'll send of some interior shots of this quaint build and get the ball rolling today also. there's so much to do! I've neglected Second Life and this humble blog for far too long! Time to make amends!

I Work When I'm Brain Dead

I've been working on textures alot lately. Mostly the mundane type that I need to do anyhow, but sometimes I like to get artistic.

I'll cruise through deviantart.com or tour the design pages online and just be left sort of.. "in a mind coma". That's when I'll settle in and fiddle around in GIMP. I was a Photoshop girl for years but honestly I really can't afford to upgrade and some months ago I began to play around with GIMP. Now that I've gotten the hang of it I can honestly say that I like it better. I really have no idea if that is because it IS better or because I've actually gotten better at it. :) You decide, but either way this is a sample of some of the things I like to do in the dead of the night to express myself.

Picturesque in Tableau; "Love Me Two times Baby"

I rode a bicycle around Tableau this evening for a while to clear my head. I still feel the stress but it isn't nearly as large. And hey, there's always tomorrow right? And Hey.. that sure is an awesome sim!

Useless post with a pretty picture framed in Turnip Sorbet's very nice build on Tableau. (I'm practicing redundancy!)

The Nouveau Garden Skybox is an understated and versatile home for
you in the sky. It's low prim, ringing in at only 46 of them, and has a
new added touch of smooth sliding drapes for the large windows. This adds
that extra touch of privacy and charm in a deep ocean tone. I designed
this particular build with a couple things in mind. The first was 'white
and wood', the second was wanting a good setting (either on the roof or
inside) to bring the wilds of Second Life to my world.

I live in the Nouveau skybox myself and I really ought to post some pics. ^_^

Reopened Jessentials In Time For Valentine's & A Sale To Boot

Well it's done! I am relocated to The Kennel (in the dog house with you!). I've gotten the place as close to the original location, as far as looks go anyhow, as I could. It's been a rather busy and stressful couple of weeks but I think things are looking up with this huge weight lifted!

To celebrate I am offering every set in my store at 50% off. You can purchase the sets as a whole and that is where you'll see the discount. There are 3 of those Midnight Madness boards up at the back of my store too! Two of these have full bedroom suites in them with intimate couples engines in the beds! That's great for Valentine's Day, and the last board has a dining set for two with menu driven animations not available in the store! Plus there are cute little freebies for everyone to enjoy.
